I am so glad I got that done... but all the grass roots, rocks and extra dirt are still sittiing out there in the yard! The poor plant had got a bit dried out at the wrong time (at the store, probably) but it still had a few viable buds to bloom and they did so after I stuck it in the ground. HOPE the color was off because of the being potted thing... I want purple, not white! (it should be okay next year) I planted a Jane Magnolia last weekend before I hurt my foot. I'm not planting any flowers this year, lots of fruiting trees and shrubs. My new boxes for my veggies are not done, so I haven't even started that and my new asparagus plants (rootings?) are hating me for it. I potted the rhubarb I bought, several of the trees and the blackberries. The other trees I laid-in in my old veggie garden until I can get them in their new homes. Hard to dig with a messed up ankle, but it's mostly okay now. Just been too busy. Wish I was there to celebrate your 50th birthday with you. Your gift is on it's way. Beautiful photos of the lilac!
