Not spring today.
Winter is getting one last hurrah in, I guess! Officially spring today… but not here!
This storm system was all over the news this morning… east coast is having record breaking high temps today, and we are getting snow.
It rained all morning. Around 1 this afternoon it was hailing, I could hear it hitting the windows. Around 2 it was more of a mix of rain and snow, with mostly rain.
I drove to town. Needed something from Hobby Lobby. Stopped at Walgreens on my way home and when I came out it was doing that mix thing again.
The closer I got to home… well, it went from mix to all snow. Coming down almost horizontally from the north… the north sides of everything have a good coating of snow sticking to them.
Went out about 5 and took a couple photos. Now at 7 it’s pretty much stopped, after 3 hours of heavy snowing. If the ground hadn’t been so warm we’d have a LOT of snow out there.
So, from yesterdays pictures of green and growing to todays pictures of snow… hah.
UPDATE: I was wrong, it hadn’t stopped snowing, the snowflakes just got smaller for a while. It’s almost 6 am now, and it’s been snowing all freaking night. When it’s light enough outside to take photos, I’ll take more. All our windowsills are piled with snow, which usually doesn’t happen. This might be the most snow all winter!
