Made a change….
The tab to chat with me now takes you directly to the chat application. No more having to click on this, click on that… Now it’s just click that tab.
My sister the genius… Valerie, that is…. told me about a plug in to make things do that. Very cool, and rather handy I think!
Now if I could just get more people to come chat with me…
Got my house all winterized today… that’s turn off the water heater and drain it, drain the pipes, pour antifreeze into the pipes and drains. Plus…. clean the fridge and freezer and unplug that. I tossed some stuff, took other stuff to my Mom to see if she wanted it (rice wine vinegar should be fine, right?) and if not to toss it… and then I put pinch clamps on the fridge and freezer to keep the doors open so that I’m not growing mold in there.
Back home in time for it to start raining seriously, so no dog walking today. Dang it. I’ll probably go get the beagle kids in a little while and bring em inside to play with me. First, tho, I’m gonna walk over to the neighbors house and see how the beauty shop is coming along, visit a bit.

We’re in the process of drying out, after the nor’easter that we got as a result of Ida. My yard is fairly saturated, but that’s about it. The water will seep out of the lawn over the next week or two. Thousands of folks had their homes flooded — the tides were incredibly high and the system just stayed over the area too long. Chesapeake “only” got a little over 2.5″ of rain on Thursday, Norfolk got 4.9″ (after already getting 2.3″ on Wednesday. (Norfolk has had over 55″ of rain for the year so far.) Yipes!
Glad you aren’t too wet… I saw photos of the flooding in some areas, made me go online to see/check to make sure you were okay.
