The yarn I want to give away…

Is NOT the stuff I already sent to a friend to knit up. Not stuff I’ve dyed.

Fun yarns. Pictures are in the original post…. yes, not very good pictures, but I can’t do them over. My camera died.

Anyhow… if you can’t find that post… under fabric arts… just comment here. If I get more than one comment, I will announce a giveaway.

Sorry for any confusion.

hugs,
Vyx

Okay, if you actually came and read this, AND you have a stamp related company… let me know. I’ll add you to my NEW category of stamping links. Comment or use the contact form… thanks! Stampo was the first to ask…

  • That yarn is just gorgeous. Perfect little skeins for crocheting loose scarves. Aren’t the yarns these days just glorious? I found the post with the picture of the yarn here: http://vyxxan.com/227/contest-prizes/

    Dear Vyx,
Very nice fabric posts! I love the yarn you have up for contests too. It’s so colorful and could be used for so much. I saw a project recntly that used odds and ends of yarn to make a small blankets. I of course would more than likely use it in my paper or book arts when I am feeling better. You could do a pick a number contest, or whoever answers a riddle correctly contest? You know..like “where on this blog does ____ (fill in the blank) appear?” I like your blog and hope to get mine rolling out soon. Keep up the great work!!
    hugs,
    CeeCee

I love Yarn it’s my new favorite thing since i began crocheting. I love it that you dye it. I’ve seen otehrs’ pictures of dyed yarn so very pretty. I don;t know how you would do a giveaway but I’d love to make you a hat with it! I’ve been making hats of all sizes to give to Warm-up Medina, It’s a program where people make hats, scarves and suqares that are turned into blankets for those less fortunate! I’m bringing what I have made so far there (the library) on Thursday. I donated some last year, too.

I think the dyed yarn looks real nice. RubberRabbit did a nice job with them, too.
Tell me, what does skeining out the yarn mean?

  • Vyx:

Skeining out is when you take a ball of yarn and unwind from the ball and wind it onto something else, like the back of a chair, some doorknobs… Once that is done you tie string or something every so often to hold it. Keeps it from getting tangled, easier to dye patterns into the yarn.
